First Speech Compared To Last Speech

I really did not see that much improvement from my first informative speech to my last persuasive speech. I still didn't have that much eye contact in my persuasive speech. I spent most of my time looking at my power point on the computer. In fact I might have had more eye contact in my informative speech. My introduction and attention-getter improved a lot from my first speech to my last. In my first speech I just told the audience what I was going to inform them about but in my last speech I ask the audience a question, therefore getting their attention. I still didn't put any research citations in my last speech or in any of my other speeches. My conclusion in my last speech was very weak compared to my conclusion in my first speech. My volume improved a little from the first speech that I presented and I also had more enthusiasm in my last speech. I had very little hand gestures and still need to improve on that. I could also use a few more voice pauses in my speech. In conclusion I improved a little throughout my speeches but still have a lot more to improve on.

How to reflection

During my how to speech I did many things well, but I also struggled with many things. Some things that I did well was the level of my voice, my eye contact, and all my information was well known and correct. In prior speeches my voice level was very low and quite, but in my how to speech my voice level seemed to be louder and more clear. My eye contact was much better than it was before. When I got the sheets of paper back saying how many times I looked up at people I didn't receive one paper that said I didn't look up at them. I knew all my information when I gave my speech and didn't stumble while saying it.
There are still some things I need to work on such as enthusiasm, and hand gestures. My enthusiasm still needs to improve a lot. I used the same tone of voice through out the whole speech, which can be very boring. Also I need to work on my hand gestures. Standing up there for four minutes not moving is also very boring to look at. With hand movements I could make my speeches more interesting.
